Store Data

When you install and use pricex, we access and process the following data from your Shopify store:

  • Product Information: Product titles, variant names, prices, collections, tags, and vendor names
  • Market Information: Market names and currency settings for multi-market pricing
  • Store Authentication: Shop domain and access tokens to connect with your Shopify store

Usage Data

We store the following information about your pricing updates:

  • Price Change History: Records of pricing instructions you've given, which markets were affected, number of products updated, and the status of each update
  • Original Prices: Backup of prices before changes to enable the revert feature
  • Session Data: Authentication information to maintain your connection with Shopify

How We Use Your Information

  • Processing Price Updates: Analyzing your natural language instructions using AI (Google Gemini) to understand and apply pricing changes
  • Filtering Products: Matching products based on collections, tags, vendors, or other criteria you specify
  • Preview Changes: Showing you what prices will look like before applying updates
  • Price History: Maintaining a record of past updates so you can review or revert changes
  • App Authentication: Keeping you logged in and connected to your Shopify store

Data Storage

  • Your data is stored securely using industry-standard practices
  • Price change history is stored in our database to enable the revert feature
  • We retain your data only as long as you use the app

Third-Party Services

We use Google Gemini AI to process your natural language pricing instructions. When you enter a prompt like "Increase all prices by 10%", this instruction is sent to Google's API to interpret your intent. Google processes this data according to their own privacy policy.

Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. Your Shopify access tokens are stored securely and used only to perform actions you authorize.

Your Rights

  • Access Your Data: View the pricing history and data we've stored
  • Delete Your Data: Uninstalling the app will remove all stored data associated with your store
  • Opt-Out: You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it

Data Sharing

We do not:

  • Sell your data to third parties
  • Share your store information with anyone except as necessary to provide the service (e.g., sending instructions to Google Gemini for processing)
  • Use your data for marketing or advertising purposes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
